Frequently Asked Questions
Does insurance cover this visit?
Chelsie Moore does not participate with any insurance companies. We accept credit card, cash, or check for consultations. We are happy to give you a receipt of services in order to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Don’t supplements just come out in your pee? Are they even safe?
Not all supplements are made equal, which is why we only recommend pharmaceutical grade, third-party tested brands. Unfortunately in our modern agriculture, soils are depleted leading to nutrient depleted foods. Taking supplements for some individuals can mean the difference between health and sickness due to this depleted food supply along with genetic differences that increase needs. Anything in excess is dangerous to the human body, including water. This is why working with a professional is of the utmost importance to ensure you are only taking what you truly need.
Will this cure my disease?
We can not guarantee that these interventions will cure your disease, we cannot diagnose, “treat” or prescribe pharmaceuticals for your disease, nor would we ever pledge to “have the cure” to any disease. We believe that the tools for the human body to heal exist within itself, and when given the right inputs through lifestyle changes and dietary changes, we can support the body in coming back into balance. Our protocols are designs to make you feel your best, and if in the process your disease condition improves, then we consider it time well spent!
Why work with a practitioner when I can find nutrition topics online?
There is so much information out there that is contradictory of each other. It can be a challenging world to navigate. A practitioner is going to offer clinical experience from working with a variety of cases similar to your own, that will guide you in a direction that is specifically tailored to your needs. This assessment is done through an in depth health history, signs and symptoms analysis, and intensive laboratory work. It is dangerous for individuals to take high doses of certain supplements without having this extensive work up done, which is why we recommend working with a professional.
How long does it take to get results?
Timelines will vary from patient to patient. Some may see results within a month, others it may take up to 6 months. Don’t forget, chronic health concerns didn’t manifest overnight. They are the result of years worth of inflammatory eating, stress, environmental toxins, and illness. Your body will need the proper amount of time to truly restore itself.
How do I have the lab tests done?
Lab work recommendations will vary by patient. We offer stool, urine, saliva and blood assays from various labs. The lab will directly mail you your kit, and you will mail it directly back to the lab. Blood tests will be scheduled at your local LabCorp.
How long do lab results take?
Lab results can take anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks after mailing in the sample.
Can I order these labs through my primary care physician?
Unfortunately, conventional medicine does not yet take advantage of these functional lab tests and will not be able to order them for you. Due to this reason, they are not covered by insurance. We can promise you, however, that they provide crucial information on your physiology that will help to guide us in the right direction.
Are you able to work with kids?
Yes! We absolutely believe that learning how to care for our bodies should begin at a young age.
